Le Casette was built in the 16th century - recently refurbished it now consists of 2 high quality stone built houses (called Casa del Gallo and�Capanno, both sleeping 4+1) located in a unique Tuscan position: isolated and surrounded by oaks and olives, the grounds offer a stupendous view over the hills and valleys of Chianti Classico.

The property enjoys a unique location, private and immersed in nature but very close to towns and the attractions of Florence and Siena - all making for an elegant environment for a relaxing vacation in Tuscany. The sundeck, swimming pool and shaded areas are perfect for resting, and our guests re-gather their forces �in the shade of our centuries-old trees.

Both Tuscan holiday rental houses are built of stone and have been reconstructed respecting the original style. The previous owner, a famous actor, succeeded in reviving their natural charm and sober beauty in the 60�s. The spacious rooms provide a view up to the roof with its old beams. The walls are of natural stone or painted in the traditional manner. All the floors are in hand-made terra-cotta tiles and the interior furnishings combine antiques with Tuscan rural pieces. The houses have independent terraces (with barbecue), various areas for sitting, a swimming pool dressed in mosaics (5 x 8 m), and private parking. Please note that the swimming pool is only open from the middle of May until the middle of October.

La Casa del Gallo

The house is built on on 2 levels with a total �surface of 180m². The ground floor is composed of an entrance hall, a guest bathroom, a living room with open ceiling and staircase to the loft, a fully-equipped kitchen and a dining room. There is access to the terraces surrounding the house from all the rooms on the ground floor. Upstairs, there are two large double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with shower and one with tub. We have provided orthopedic mattresses and anti�allergic quilts and pillows. Also provided are a stereo CD / tape player and satellite TV. The pool is furnished with lounge chairs in teak, umbrellas, tables and chairs.

The house sleeps 4 (maximum 5) people. Children are welcome (for small children cots and highchairs are available). Pets are accepted upon request.

Il Capanno

The farmhouse Capanno is very cosy and comfortable, and is located on 3 stories totalling 125m². The property is composed of a living room with dining area and fireplace, 2 double bedrooms with bathroom (shower), and a kitchenette with another dining area. There is direct access to the sundeck and a panoramic terrace.

Ground floor: kitchen-living room (dishwasher). The large living room with fireplace is accessed by 10 descending steps, and is equipped with satellite TV and HiFi. Shower/WC/bidet. Ten steps lead up to the bedrooms: 1 double bedroom, and 1 double bedroom with 1 additional bed. Shower/bidet/WC. Private outside area. We have provided orthopedic mattresses and anti-allergic quilts and pillows. The pool is furnished with lounge chairs in teak, umbrellas, tables and chairs. The house sleeps 4 persons (max. 5 person - 1 double bedroom has an additional bed).Children are welcome (for small children cots and high chairs are available). Pets are accepted upon request.

These Tuscany rental homes are located between Castellina in Chianti and San Donato, via a 3 kilometre private dirt road. The town of Castellina is �5 kilometres away, and offers all the necessities of daily life; you'll find well-stocked grocery stores, a supermarket, a pharmacy, banks, doctors, a gas station and Post Office. Everything is close at hand, �enabling you to have a carefree and relaxing Italian country vacation. The romantic town of Castellina (with 3,000 inhabitants) is ideally located for visits to famous wine producers and to dine at the numerous local trattorie and excellent restaurants that �will introduce you to Tuscan cooking. Your vacation home is 35 km from Florence, 25 km from Siena, 10 km from Radda and about �1,5 �hours from the sea. � There are tennis courts, golf courses, fishing and riding possibilities in the immediate vicinity. You can rent a mountain bike, and our gentle hills are full of shady lanes perfect for bike or foot excursions.
