Relais Sinalunga is a lovely old 18th century estate, between Cortona and Siena. In the heart of the beautiful Tuscan countryside, this villa and farmhouse (now four modern apartments) offer magnificent views over rolling, olive grove clad hills.

This Tuscany vacation accommodation lies just off the made road, and provides the perfect setting to unwind, in the peace and tranquility of Tuscany.

The estate comprises the villa (where the owner lives), a farmhouse containing the four holiday apartments, a cottage and Villa Falciani, which has been beautifully restored in traditional style. Each apartment can be rented separately or the houses and apartments can be combined to accommodate groups of up to 34.

The cottage and the comfortable, well-furnished apartments all have their own entrances, private outdoor spaces and barbecue for al fresco dining. You have every comfort and convenience including satellite TV, telephone, broadband internet line (no PC though, so bring your laptop), a safe and use of a shared laundry room.

You�ll have shared use of the swimming pool, tennis courts and the magnificent parkland around. Your hosts can provide typical Tuscan dishes prepared from fresh local products � not forgetting the wine and olive tasting.

But we don�t expect you to sacrifice convenience in your rural idyll. Hard to believe, but Sinalunga, with shops, restaurants and trains to Chiusi (and thence to Florence or Rome) is only a five-minute drive away.


The area is scattered with charming hill towns such as Lucignano or Trequanda, both 10 minutes away, as is the A1 highway. That puts Siena, Arezzo, Cortona or Perugia all within 30 minute. Florence is just over an hour away. Montepulciano is 17kms away, Pienza and Cortona 25km, Arezzo 40km, Siena and Montalcino 40km and Perugia 50km. The nearest golf course is 9km away. You�re handily placed for the major airports, with Florence 90km away, Rome 185km, Pisa 190km and Bologna 190km.

Gli Archi, sleeps 4+2 over 140m� and has two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. A large apartment on the ground floor it has access from a private garden. This Tuscany holiday apartment has a sitting-room with fireplace, sofa-bed and satellite TV. The original features have been maintained � magnificent vaulted ceilings with original brick arches and old exposed beams. The living-room gives on to a very nice bedroom with four-poster bed and a large arched doorway opening onto the garden. The other bedroom, with a wrought- iron bedstead and French windows, is also accessed reached from the living room. The dining area has a kitchenette with dishwasher and fridge; the two bathrooms have shower stalls and extractor fans. Comfortable and elegantly furnished, well shaded and ideal for the summer, Glic Archi is a lovely apartment.

Il Mandorlo sleeps six over 130m� of the ground floor, and has two double bedrooms, a twin bedded room and two bathrooms. This holiday flat lies on the ground floor of the country house with access via an internal stairway. The door opens onto the dining room with its terracotta floor, exposed beams and large fireplace � the essence of rural Tuscany. Your kitchenette has a fridge and dishwasher, and the apartment has telephone, satellite TV and safe. The living room gives on to a corridor and then a wonderful double bedroom with four-poster bed. There is a further double room, furnished with 17th century furniture and a bathroom with shower stall. The twin bedroom, with private bathroom, is also accessed from the living room. Outside is a loggia with table, chairs and barbecue.

Paulonia sleeps four over 70m�, with a double bedroom, a twin bedded room and a bathroom. This holiday apartment is on the first floor of the house, with private access from an external flight of stairs leading to a landing. The door leads into the living/dining room, with its kitchen corner and large fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas range, dishwasher and fridge. To the right of the living room a door leads to the twin bedroom. Another door from the living room opens into a hall with doors to the double bedroom and to a bathroom with shower. The apartment has its own garden space, with furniture.

Sleeping two over 35m�, Lilla has a double bedroom and a bathroom. This delightful apartment is on the ground floor with a private entrance from the side of the farmhouse � Lilla�s garden space, with furniture, is here. The open-plan apartment has a dining area with kitchen corner (fully equipped with gas range, fridge and dishwasher). To the rear of the room is a double bed with sitting area and satellite TV. A door in the sitting room opens into a bathroom with shower stall. The vaulted ceilings and terracotta floors complement the traditional Tuscan furnishings.

The Cottage sleeps 2+2 over 65m�. Next to the park and the swimming pool it has a private patio with table, chairs and barbecue right in front of its kitchen. The cottage is split into two sections, connected under one roof. The fully equipped kitchen has hob, fridge and dishwasher. The kitchen has doors both to the patio and to the internal hall between the two sections. The door to the second section opens into the living/dining room with its table and double sofa-bed, satellite TV and telephone . The living/dining room connects to a double bedroom and to the bathroom.
