The Residence "Bosco della Spina",
inaugurated in December 1999, is a renovation of an ancient mediaeval farm:
the vinaia, the granaries, the stables, all located in the ancient Tuscan town
of Lupompesi, located roughly halfway between Siena and Montalcino. Accommodation
of all sorts is available - you may stop over for a night or two, rent an apartment
for a week or more, even arrange a meeting, wedding or reunion here.
The origins of the 'borgo' are lost somewhere between Roman, Barbarian and Etruscan
times, but the settlement is full of history and the restoration reflects this.
The estate includes 14 suites of various sizes, the reception, a bar, a small
shop where genuine farm produce is sold, a restaurant with open fireplace and
a large terrace, private outdoor parking, swimming pool, and a small fitness
centre.
The Restaurant offers a particularly refined Tuscan kitchen with ancient mediaeval
Tuscan recipes; products of our farm and a wide selection of Chianti wines.
In the exposition room of the Residence you can buy the goods of the farm estate,
such as honey marmalades, typical pastries of Siena, virgin olive oil, and so
on.
