TUSCAN FARMHOUSE RENTAL APARTMENTS,
EAST OF FLORENCE
Casa Rignano is an 18th century farmhouse which was originally used as a religious
retreat - hermitage - and is set within lovely gardens offering some splendid
views. The farmhouse has been subdivided into three apartments that epitomise
the Tuscan character - terracotta tiled floors compliment the wooden beamed
ceilings.
The house overlooks the Vallombrosa forest and has a fine view of the Arno river,
and the countryside around is filled with olive groves, vineyards and stands
of tall Mediterranean trees. The apartments are in a secluded, idyllic setting
where all you can hear are the birds singing and the wind whispering through
the trees.
Within five minutes drive from the apartments there are two small towns, Pontassieve
and Rignano sull�Arno'. Here you can find all the local amenities you would
expect, including a supermarket, restaurants, and also trains and buses to Florence
and beyond.
All of the apartments are fully furnished and decorated to a high standard;
the kitchens have all that you require to conjure up your very own traditional
Tuscan fare, and a dishwasher to save you from the chore of washing up after
your culinary explorations. All the flats are centrally heated ensuring that
you will be comfortable no matter what time of year you decide to visit. A pool
is being readied for the 2003 season.
